Maureen Cynthia Drugan, 73, of Brant Beach and Lawrenceville, NJ died quietly on Thursday April 20, 2017 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Born in Trenton, Maureen was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of the College of New Jersey where she received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She was an educator in the Trenton School System where she was a basic skills teacher in the Gregory and Stokes Elementary Schools. She retired in 1999 after many years of service.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Isabelle Lavan Drugan and aunt of her beloved nephew the late Christopher Colavita, she is survived by her sisters, Sheila Drugan Colavita and Kathleen Ryan; her nieces and nephews, Mika and Keith Colavita, Katy Livi, Timothy and Sean Ryan, grandnieces and grandnephews, Madeline, Natalie, Caroline, Jack, Bryce, Holden, Daniel, Kaitlyn, Aidan, Brendan and Kieran, many cousins including two special cousins, Bryan Fisher and Conny Case; and many dear friends.
Private family services were held with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lambertville, NJ
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at stjude.org
