Vincent Palmere, 78, of Ewing, died on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Chandler Hall in Newtown, Pennsylvania.
He was born and raised in Lawrenceville and lived many years in Ewing.
He graduated from The Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville NJ and Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. He maintained his membership in Pi Kappa Phi fraternity.
He was a 1st Lieutenant and an instructor pilot in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He was the owner of Mercer Motor Freight, Inc., and was a commercial realtor for John Simone Realty.
A long standing member of the Trenton Country Club, he served on the members Greens Committee. He was also a former board member of the Union Industrial Home for Children. An ardent golfer, he won many awards and trophies.
Vince was the son of the late Mildred and Michael Palmere and is predeceased by his
son Michael Tod Palmere. He is survived by his wife Martha Lawson Palmere, his
sisters; Phyllis (Thomas) Bailey, Darlene Byrne, Elvin Byrne, and Merle (Gilbert)
VanHouten, a special granddaughter, Emma Byrne, nieces and nephews; Michael
Bailey, Thomas (Kathy) Bailey, Robin (Thomas) Balmer, Bethanne Byrne, Brenda (John)
Gladwell, Debora Byrne, Amy (Christopher) Moran and Dana (Harold) Griffin, and, many
great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Interment will be private.
Friends may call from 10 AM until time of service.
