Patricia Ann Jordan, 47, of Ewing, New Jersey, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016.
Born in Orange, New Jersey, Patty was a resident of Ewing most of her life. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and went on to receive her BS in Education from The College of New Jersey. She then pursued her MA in Education from the University of Phoenix.
Patty was employed by the State of New Jersey, Department of Health where she was the Perinatal Hepatitis Representative.
Patty is the daughter of the late Robert William and Patricia Ann Ramsay Jordan, granddaughter of the late Charles L. Ramsay and Katherine Burns Ramsay, niece of the late Lt. Col. Charles J. Ramsay (USMC) and Lorraine Ramsay. Patty is remembered with love by her uncles, John R. (Nancy), Edward, Timothy (Lori), Alan (Norma), Gerald (Myra) and Christopher (Reggie) Ramsay; her aunts, Margaret (John, dec.) Cardiel, Denise (Tony) Jones and Rene Ramsay; her cousins, Charles (Val Marie Coutts) Ramsay, Robert (Donna) Ramsay, Kathy (Dan) Jeffrey, Michael (Carmen) Ramsay, Susan Ramsay Balisteri, Mark (Nadja) Ramsay, Brian (Carolyn) Ramsay, John (Susan) Ramsay, Wendy Ramsay, Cynthia Ramsay Taylor, Jeanarae Ramsay-Uribe, Max (Erin) Ramsay, Brenna Ramsay, Alex Ramsay, Tim (Erica) Ramsay, Salise (Ivan) Gomez, Aaron (Jennifer) Ramsay, Alison Dunmore; Niki (Mike) Aroche, Matt Ramsay, Charlie Ramsay, Olivia Ramsay, Jake Ramsay, John Cardiel, Jr., Jennifer Cardiel and Joseph Cardiel. Patty’s cousin Justin Cardiel predeceased her.
Patty’s friendship was cherished by her close friends Donna Haggerty, Courtney Sage, Verena Kansog, Jeanne King, Francis Paixao, Tom Miller, Kyle McGovern, her beloved dog Catie and many other family and friends, drawing lifelong friends from as early as grade school throughout her work with the NJ Department of Health. All those who had the good fortune to know her knew first hand that once a friend of Patty's, always a friend of Patty's.
Patty's funeral will begin on Friday, May 20, 2016, at 9 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at the Church of Saint Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, May 19, 2016, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, aides, volunteers, and friends that cared for Patty at Sloane Kettering Memorial Hospital, University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro, Princeton Center for Cancer Care, and Princeton Homecare Hospice. The caring and compassion that they showed Patty was truly exceptional and touched Patty, her family, and all or her friends.
