Harold W. Walter, 93, of Naperville, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Alden Estates of Naperville. Born at home in Robbinsville, NJ, Harold was a longtime resident of Ewing before recently moving to Naperville, IL, to be closer to his son and his family. He was a Veteran of WWII, having proudly served his country with the US Army. Harold worked at Cresent Insulated Wire & Cable for over 38-years and retired from CV Hill Refrigeration in Trenton, in 1984. Harold was a member of Club A - Ewing Township Seniors. He also enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and feeding the birds while living on Parkway Ave. Husband of the late Edith M. Walter; he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law William and Jeannie Walter; two grandsons Douglas and Jennifer Walter and Richard and Ewa Walter; his great-grandchildren Nova Mai Walter, Evan Winship-Walter and Emily Winship-Walter; his sister Dorothy Walter Reed; his brother Christian Walter Jr.; his sister-in-law Esther Vaughn Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 11AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Entombment will follow at Ewing Church Cemetery Mausoleum, Ewing Twp. Relatives and friends can gather on Monday morning from 10AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society 2600 Us Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
