Joseph Tomecheck, 60, of Trenton, died Tuesday at St. Francis Medical Center.
Born in Cleveland, OH., he had resided in Trenton most of his life.
Mr. Tomecheck was a retired metal decorator with Metal Litho in Lawrenceville.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Viet Nam War.
He was a member and former commander of Lawrence Post #3022
Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Son of the late Cyril and Anna Kremposky Tomecheck and brother of the late Andrew and Frank Tomecheck, he is survived by his wife Theresa Pitonyak Tomecheck, a sister Andrea Hagen and her husband Glen, three sisters-in-law Cathy Tomecheck, Patricia Tomecheck and Dorothy Guest and her husband Bill. Also surviving are two nieces Sherrie and Jamie Tomecheck and four nephews Justin and Jason Tomecheck and Thomas and Mark Collins.
The funeral will be held on Friday at 8 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 AM in St. Michael's R.C. Church in Trenton. Burial will be in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle New Jersey Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown.
Family and friends may call on Thursday from 6 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct a service at 7 PM.
