Obituary of Carl Anthony Tattory

Dr. Carl Anthony Tattory, 87, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong Trenton area resident and resided in Lawrenceville for 45 years. Dr. Tattory earned his Doctoral Degree from Georgetown University. After completing Medical School, he went into private practice for 25 years with Trenton Medical Group. Dr. Tattory retired as Chief of Medicine from Trenton Psychiatric Hospital. Some of his hobbies included cooking, reading, going to local flea-markets and following local high school and college soccer. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be sorely missed. Son of the late Charles and Helen Tattory; he is survived by his wife of 58 years Bernice Tattory; his children Carol Pitonyak, Paul, John and Christopher Tattory; his daughters-in-law Christine Tattory, Angela Tattory, and Karen Marks; his son-in-law George Pitonyak; his grandchildren Nicole and Kevin Pitonyak, Michael, Lindsey, Andrew, Mark, Madeleine, Lydia and Destiny Tattory; three great-grandchildren Kayla, Audrina and Joshua. The funeral will begin on Thursday morning at 10AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM at The Church of St. Ann 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. The viewing for Dr. Tattory will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 6-8PM and again on Thursday morning from 9-10AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Dr. Tattory’s memory to The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
