Charles H. Murray, 83, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Trenton. Born in Tuscola, Texas, Charles was a resident of Lawrenceville for 51 years. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict, having proudly served his country with the US Navy aboard the Battleship New Jersey. Charles retired from Apple Vending in Philadelphia, where he was employed as a repairman. He was an avid bowler and was in a league during the 1970’s. Some of his hobbies included vacationing and fishing in Florida with his wife and daughter, working on his nephew Rob Hoch’s pumpkin farm. His proudest moment was his daughter’s wedding and welcoming her husband Valerio into the family. Son of the late Robert Andrew and Martha Bowls Murray; he is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Audrey Jones Murray; his loving daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Valerio Ungarini; two sisters Barbara Johns, Helen Leach and her husband Charles; his sister-in-law Delores Hoch and her husband Robert; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Entombment will follow at Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville, NJ. Relatives and friends can call for Charles on Tuesday morning from 9-10:30AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial 62 Battleship Place Camden, NJ 08103or to St. Ann Church 1253 Lawrence Road Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 or to the American Heart Association 1 Union Street, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
