Charles M. Stackhouse, 82, of Lawrenceville died Tuesday at the University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Trenton, Charlie was raised in Yardley, PA and a resident of Lawrenceville for the past 55 years. Charlie retired in 1988 with 34 years of service with New Jersey Bell Telephone. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Charlie was a former member of Lawrence Elks Lodge #2412 B.P.O.E. and was a member of the Bucktail Hunting Club and the Telephone Pioneers of America. Son of the late Thomas and Marion Muschert Stackhouse and brother of the late Thomas H. Stackhouse and Alice Dills, he is survived by his loving wife Catherine Joan Hannon Stackhouse, two sons Chip Stackhouse and his wife Robin, Russell Stackhouse and his wife Holly, and two daughters Brenda Burke and her husband Tim and Nancy Sullivan and her husband Steve. Also surviving are his grandchildren Chaz, Lacey, Danny, Russell and John Reid Stackhouse and Eric and Stefanie Sullivan, a great grandchild Kayce Sullivan, a sister Marion Ottinger, several nieces, nephews and cousins including a special cousin Reid Stackhouse, and long time friends, Paul O’Neil, Ernie Pellegrino and Bill Sands. A graveside service will be scheduled at a later date with entombment at the Greenwood Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity.
