Timothy J. Dalton Obituary

Timothy J. Dalton, age 69, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully in Princeton, NJ on May 23, 2026.

He was born in Plainfield, NJ, and was a long-time resident of the Lawrenceville area. Tim was a committed volunteer firefighter with the Lawrenceville Fire Company from his teens, and loved playing Santa on the annual Santa fire truck runs every December. His dedication to the local community extended beyond the fire department, as he was an active member and served as President of the local Lions Club chapter in earlier years.

A dedicated sports fan, Tim loved playing and watching golf from an early age. Though he was a lifelong New Jersey resident, his heart was all-in for every Philadelphia sports team. He was an avid fan, keeping a close eye on all scores and standings, always eager to hear from any family or friends attending games - and take advice on which bets to place. On most days, he could be found wearing at least one piece of Philly sports gear - usually Eagles or Phillies!

He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. Dalton and Catherine J. Mulcahy. He is survived by his brothers William Dalton and wife Candy, Daniel Dalton and wife Heidi; sister Cathy Dalton and husband Philip; nephews Daniel Dalton, wife Katy and their daughter Harper, Peter Dalton and wife Morgan, William Dalton, Nick Dalton; and niece Caitlin Dalton.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Tim’s visitation on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:45 AM in the daily chapel at the Church of St. Ann located at 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648, followed by his funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Lawrenceville Cemetery on Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his name to the Lawrenceville Fire Company, 64 Philips Avenue, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
