Sedrick A. Bailey, 40 of Lawrenceville unexpectedly passed away on September 7, 2025 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center.


Born on October 3, 1984, Sedrick was a lifelong Lawrence resident a graduate of Lawrence High School and a student at Rider University. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He was known for his warm heart, quiet strength, and generous spirit. Sedrick found joy in life’s simple moments and shared that joy with everyone around him.


He is survived by his loving father, Sedrick W. Bailey, and his wife Glendalyn; his devoted mother, Patricia Stoy Bailey; his sister Kristen Bailey and her wife Danielle Kish; his brothers Corey Hamilton and Patease Ross and his wife Monique; and his cherished niece and nephews Shanny Jackson, Corey Kyrie Goodwin, and Makai Ross.


He is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Diane and Stephen Denarski, Mary Morris (Clarence), Naomi Bailey, Catherine Bailey, Hubert Bailey (Theresa), Castina Bailey Ira Bailey (Charlene), and James Bailey (Shirley) and many cousins and friends.


Sedrick was predeceased by his grandparents, Stanley and Helen Stoy and Alexander and Emily Bailey, as well as his aunts and uncles Margaret Spady (Wilbur), Samuel A. Bailey, Charles Bailey, Rufus Bailey Sr., Marilyn Bailey and Clarence Bailey.


A passionate sports fan, Sedrick loved playing and watching sports, especially cheering on the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Eagles. He had a deep love for fishing, often finding peace and joy in time spent by the water. He was also a talented and creative artist who expressed himself through drawing and sketching. Professionally, Sedrick was a skilled carpenter and tradesman, known for being exceptionally handy, reliable, and hardworking.


A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 11 AM at the Church of St. Ann, located at 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Burial will be private.


Visitation will take place on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.


Sedrick will be remembered for his big heart, his artistry, his laughter, and the deep love he had for his family and community. Though his time with us was far too short, his legacy will live on in the many lives he touched.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Sedrick’s name to Recovery Advocates of America, 2117 Highway 33, Trenton, NJ 08690.
