Obituary of Rolando L. Diaz

Rolando Liwag Diaz, 66, of Lawrenceville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, June 28, 2025.

Born in Aliaga, Philippines, Province of Nueva Ecija, he had been a resident of Lawrenceville New Jersey for the past 11 years. 

Lando is the son of the late Juanito Pascual Diaz and Teofila Rivera Liwag. He is survived by his five siblings: his sister Rose and her husband Juanito, his brother Armando and wife Arlene, his sister Ma. Cristina , his brother Emmanuel and wife Minerva; and his sister Lourdes and husband Dennis. He will also be dearly remembered by his niece and nephews Giselle, Paul, Gian, Liam, and Joachim, and all of his cousins and friends.

Lando or Kuya Rolly to his loved ones, was a big brother not just to his siblings, but also to his cousins, friends, even friends of friends, and everyone who has gotten to know him.

He was a doting uncle to his beloved nephews and niece. He enjoyed attending their musical and sporting events, driving them and picking them up from practice. He enjoyed celebrating their accomplishments and sharing their joys. He was very devoted to them!

Rolando was a beacon of love and compassion, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of people who were privileged to know him. He was a kind and caring soul with a heart of gold.

The visitation for Rolando will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 9:00 AM. to 11:00 AM. This will be followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Ann, located at 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.

Cremation will be held privately following the mass. A separate memorial service and burial will later be held in the Philippines.
