
Obituary of James M. Glikas, Jr.
J. Michael Glikas Jr., 48, of Lawrence Township, NJ passed away on June 2, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication.
Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, Michael was a devoted husband, son, and friend whose vibrant spirit touched countless lives.
Michael was employed by Verizon as a facility technician for 28 years and was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Local 827. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, NJ and attended St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA. Outside of work, he cherished time with his family. He loved the water and spent much of his off-time fishing. He was a dedicated fan of the NY Giants and the Yankees.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Alicia Glikas; his mother, Clare Glikas; his aunts and uncles, Frank and Kathy Prasnal and Daniel and Eileen Prasnal; his mother-in law, Carol Lassiter and many loving cousins and extended family members. He was predeceased by his father, James M. Glikas Sr, his maternal grandparents, Frank and Ann Prasnal, his paternal grandmother Jeannette Ofsonka, his godmother, Sandra Prasnal and many other beloved family members. He also cherished the memory of his two dogs, Candy and Cassie.
Family and friends are kindly invited to the visitation for Michael to be held on Thursday morning from 10:00-11AM at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Rd., Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
Interment will be held privately at Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick, NJ at the convenience of the family.
