Obituary of Betty Lou Dlabik

Betty Lou Dlabik, 85, of Milton, DE, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Beebe Health Care, Lewes, DE.

Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a resident of Ewing for 39 years, before moving to Milton Delaware in 2006.  Betty Lou retired after 46 years of dedicated service as a Nursing Supervisor with Capital Health Regional Medical Center.  She was a former parishioner at The Church of St. Ann and current parishioner at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Lewes, Delaware.  She was an active member of the Sussex County YMCA where she participated in water aerobics on a daily basis and played cards weekly with a beloved group of friends.  Betty Lou was a member of Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540.  She enjoyed going to the beach with her friends, going to the theatre and listening to live music. Betty Lou will be sorely missed for her whit, charm and endearing smile.

Daughter of the late Alexander and Bernadine Ponting, mother of the late Dawn Marie Dlabik, Ronald Dlabik, Edward M. Dlabik III, wife of the late Edward M. Dlabik, Jr.; she is survived by her sons Gregory Dlabik and wife Debbie, David Dlabik, Daniel Dlabik and fiancé Kristina Morales; her daughter-in-law Carolyn Dlabik; her grandson Edward M. Dlabik IV. and his wife Rachel, her granddaughter Allison Dlabik and her fiancé Aaron Jackson, her great granddaughters Madison and Riley, her great grandson Cameron; her sister Mary Ann Schmitt, her brother Thomas Ponting and his wife Daisy, many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 12:30PM at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.

Interment will follow in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing Twp., NJ

The visitation for Betty Lou will be held on Saturday morning from 10-12PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
