Harry J. Ravenel, Jr. Obituary

Harry J. Ravenel, Jr., 85, of Ewing, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Capital Health Medical Center, Hopewell Twp.


 


Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a longtime resident of Ewing Twp.  Harry served on active duty with the US Navy in San Diego during the Vietnam War.  He retired from R-Tape where he was employed as Chief Financial Officer for many years.  Harry was a parishioner at The Church of St. Ann.  He obtained his boating license and along with that became his love of sailing.  Harry was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan and enjoyed travelling.


 


Son of the late Harry and Margaret Ravenel, brother of the late John M. “Jack” Ravenel, father of the late Courtney Sage and Kathleen Olson; he is survived by his wife Kathleen Ryan Ravenel; his son and daughter-in-law Harry J. III. and Mary Ravenel; his daughter and son-in-law Jennifer Tullai and Bartolome Hernandez Fernandez his grandchildren Ryan Sage, Caroline Olson, Luke Olson, Elizabeth Ravenel, and Harry J. Ravenel, IV.; his sister and brother-in-law Megan and Robert Hausler; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews.


 


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 11AM at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.


 


The visitation for Harry will be held on Wednesday morning from 9-11AM in the church.


 


Interment with military honors will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 10:30AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.  Attendees are asked to arrive at the cemetery office no later than 10:15AM.


 


Due to floral restrictions with the cemetery, donations can be made in Harry’s memory to The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648, or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital www.stjude.org or to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children www.shrinerschildrens.org
