Obituary of Consiglia Esposito

Consiglia Esposito, 85, of Lawrenceville, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Monte di Procida, Italy on February 7, 1940,  Consiglia was the daughter of the late Gennaro and Iole Costagliola, wife of the late Salvatore Espisoto, who she was married to for 65 years.  She was the second of nine children and shared a close bond with her siblings:  Nicola, Michele, Lucia, Luigi, Maria Pia, Anna, Adele, and Pasquale.

 In 1977, Consiglia courageously immigrated to the United States, where she devoted her life to her family and friends.  A longtime parishioner at The Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville, she was a woman of deep faith, resilience, and unwavering love.  Consiglia found joy in life’s simplest pleasures- cooking, homemade Italian meals, sewing with care and creativity, tending to her garden, and traveling, especially to her beloved Italy.  Her nurturing spirit, kindness, and strength will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children and their spouses:  Stefano and Francesca, Gennaro and Michelle, Angelo and Pamela, Mario and Angela, Iole and Salvatore and Davide and Markella. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Salvatore, Alexandria, Nicolas, Nina Marie, Adrianna, Niko, Giada and Alysha.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 7:00PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5-7PM at the funeral home.

Interment will be held privately in accordance with the family’s wishes for comfort and discretion.

Donations can be made to a local charity of the donor's choice.
