
Obituary of Ramon Luis Hernandez
Ramon Luis Hernandez, 74, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Born in Peñuelas, Puerto Rico on December 7, 1950, Ramon carried the spirit of his heritage with pride and joy throughout his life.
Ramon is survived by his beloved wife, Carmen Hernandez. Together they shared more than 52 years of love, laughter and unwavering companionship and over 30 of those years as husband and wife.
Ramon was a man of many talents. He was passionate about carpentry and could build or fix just about anything. He loved music, dancing, cooking and most of all, spending time with his family. His humor, warmth and ability to connect with everyone he met made him truly unforgettable. Ramon was quick to make friends, and no one was ever a stranger. His charisma and genuine kindness left lasting impressions everywhere he went and with everyone he met.
Above all, he was a devoted family man who cherished the moments shared with his loved ones.
He often shared his favorite sayings that made us smile, think and laugh. Phrases that will now echo in our hearts…
“Tu quieres agua seca o mojada?”
“Tus amigos son el dinero en tu bolsillo!”
“Mucho trabajo, poco dinero!”
Ramon’s legacy lives on in the laughter, stories and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of Ramon’s life will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Funeral services will immediately follow at 10:30AM.
Burial will be held privately.
