Sherri L. Smith, 80, of Newtown, PA, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025.

Born in Flint, Michigan, Sherri was a long-time resident of Lawrenceville, NJ, before recently relocating to Newtown, PA.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Charles Powell and Rose Sanborn. Sherri was the devoted wife of Frank Smith for over 50 years and is survived by her three loving sons: Brian Smith and his wife Joan, David Smith and his wife Jamie, and Eric Smith and his wife Irene. A loving grandmother, her six grandchildren - Derek, Sarah, Garrett, Jessica, Alexandra, and Jillian - were her biggest joy. She is also survived by her sisters, Rene Ruland and Lisa Hancock, her brother, Mike Powell, her sister-in-law, Nancy Gravatt, and her brother-in-law, Guy Hill, who all cherished her deeply. Sherri will also be missed by her cherished friends at Newtown Friends Village.

A graveside memorial service will be on Saturday June 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lawrenceville Cemetery located at 3001 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.

In honor of Sherri's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation in lieu of flowers.
