
Obituary of Margaret Kobos
Margaret “Margie” M. Kobos of Hamilton Square passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 29, 2025 at Capital Health Medical Center, Hopewell.
Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a resident of Hamilton Square for the past 39 years. Margaret was a graduate of St. Mary of the Assumption grammar school, St. Anthony High School and earned her BA and Masters degree from The College of NJ. She was a retiree of the Hamilton Township School District, where she was a math teacher for 40 years at Hamilton High School West and briefly taught at Steinert High School. Margie was a devout Catholic and a longtime parishioner of St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church. Some of her hobbies were bowling and playing board and trivia games, but she especially enjoyed traveling across the country and world, including Hawaii and Alaska, and driving across the country several times. Margie cherished spending time with her family and friends.
Daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret (Flanigan) Petryshin, she is survived by her loving husband, John Kobos; mother-in-law Anna Kobos; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Maria and John Dziuda, and Lucy and Danny Glitz; nephews and nieces, Kevin and Michelle Dziuda; and Samantha (Jason) Ward and Steven Glitz; cousins Pat Kostin, Butch Antosiewicz, and Tim Flanigan; and several other cousins, second cousins and very dear friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 10:00A.M. at St. Gregory The Great Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690.
Interment will be held at St. Hedwigs Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
The visitation for Margaret will be held on Wednesday evening May 7, from 6:30-8:30 PM and a short visitation on Thursday morning from 8:30-9:00 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Rd, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
In lieu of flowers, the family is strongly suggesting that donations in Margaret’s name be made to St. Gregory The Great Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
