Obituary of Cynthia M. Friedeborn

Please share a memory of Cynthia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Cynthia Mary Mancini Friedeborn, 68, of Lawrenceville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, after a brave and spirited year-long battle with endometrial cancer. In her final moments, she was surrounded by the love she so freely gave throughout her life.

Born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, on November 30, 1956, Cynthia was the cherished daughter of Kathleen and Antonio Mancini, and the beloved sister of Barbara Wagner and John Mancini. She is survived by her devoted sons, David Anthony Friedeborn and Glenn Scott Friedeborn, the “pride & joys”, and “greatest accomplishments of her life".

Cynthia lived with immense warmth, compassion, and an unshakable spirit of love. As a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, she created a home that was not just a shelter but a sanctuary, filled with laughter, light, and unconditional kindness. Everyone who stepped through her door felt welcome, safe, and cared for.

She had a rare gift for nurturing life. Her sunroom overflowed with vibrant aloe, peonies, and roses, each plant lovingly tended, each bloom a reflection of her gentle heart. Outside, she extended her care to the neighborhood’s strays, feeding birds, bees, and cats as if they were her own. Nature was not just something she loved, it was something she quietly healed.

Cynthia especially came alive at Christmas, transforming her home into a magical world of joy, generosity, and thoughtful gifts. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures: the warmth of the sun on her skin, peaceful swims in her backyard pool, and family trips to the beach, the place where her spirit felt most free.

Even as cancer tested her body, it never dimmed her light. She met every challenge with grace, humor, and unyielding resilience. Cynthia inspired everyone around her not just with her strength, but with her ability to continue loving deeply, giving freely, and hoping fiercely.

A celebration and memorial of Cynthia’s extraordinary life will be held at Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church (1039 Lawrenceville Rd) on Saturday, May 17th at 11:00 am.

Her legacy lives on in every flower she grew, every life she touched, and every moment of kindness she inspired. She was, and will always be, a source of light in this world.
