Obituary of Eileen J. Deal

Eileen McKeever Deal, 68, passed away April 15, 2025, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family and friends.

A lifelong Ewing resident, Eileen was an elementary school special education teacher for 39 years. She embodied the role of teacher both in and out of the classroom. A loyal and dedicated friend to a large social circle, she loved an occasion for celebration or was happy to invent one. She could light up a room with her infectious energy and her inexhaustible repertoire of niche jingles or show tunes. She always seemed to know what you needed, whether it be a kind word, gesture, or gift. Those who knew her will remember her for her warmth, her laughter, and the incredible village she created around her.

Eileen was an exceptional wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She cherished the time she got to spend with her family, and filled her moments creating lasting memories with them.

Daughter of the late James and Helen McKeever,  Eileen is survived by her husband of 42 years, Kevin, her children Lauren, Patrick, and Meredith, and their partners Miguel, Lauren and Megan, her grandchildren Helen and Nicanor and her brothers James Jr., his wife Marie, and Thomas and his partner Libby, her best friend Kathleen Mason, as well as her nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved dearly.

A life celebration for Eileen will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 12:00PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.  A private reception will follow.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 10:00AM-12:00PM at the funeral home.

Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
