I’m saddened to have missed Helen’s service due to illness, but I want to honor her memory with deep gratitude. One afternoon in early July 2019, I helped Helen unload her van full of supplies for the Stone Hill Church Camp. As we carried things in, we talked—about her family, the church, and recollections of the past. That conversation captured her perfectly: kind, no-nonsense, and always serving. For over 50 years, I knew her as strong, honest, capable, down-to-earth, and full of quiet faith. Hebrews 13:7 reminds us, “Remember your leaders and imitate their faith.” Helen’s faithful legacy is one worth remembering and imitating.
