

Obituary of John Hodnicki
John Hodnicki, 91, of Ewing Twp., passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Trenton.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong Trenton area resident. John was a graduate of Trenton Central High School. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict, having proudly and honorably served his country with the US Army. John is a retiree of Mercer Medical Center, where he was a security officer for many years. Some of his hobbies included postage stamp and coin collecting.
Son of the late Joseph Hodnicki and Anna Hodnicki Sudol; brother of the late Francis Wisienski, Joseph Hodnicki, Edward Hodnicki and Madeline Zebrowski; he is survived by his wife Jeanne Thompson Hodnicki; his son and daughter-in-law John and Doreen Hodnicki; his beloved grandchildren Andrew Hodnicki and Karen Whitaker, Danielle and Mike Ragan, and Joseph and Tami Alizzi; his brother and sister-in-law Martin and Joanne Sudol; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Gary and Charlene Thompson, and Craig and Kathy Thompson; several nieces, and nephews.
The visitation for John will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025 from 8:30-9:30AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10:00AM at St. James/Incarnation Parish 29 E. Paul Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08638.
Interment with military honors will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 2:30PM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road Newtown, PA 18940. Attendees are asked to arrive the administration building by 2:15PM and wait in their automobiles.
Due to floral restrictions with the cemetery, memorial donations can be made in John’s memory to Alzheimer's Association.
