Cheri L. Wenczel, 71, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Trenton. Born in Trenton, she was a resident of Lawrenceville for 45 years. Cheri is a retiree of Merrill Lynch, where she was an administrative assistant for many years. She was a parishioner at The Church of St. Ann. Cheri was an avid lover of animals, enjoyed trips to the beach, planning vacations, but most of all she enjoyed time spent with her husband, children and grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Helen Johnson and her brother Daniel Johnson, she is survived by her husband Thomas Wenczel; her children and their spouses Erica and Cyril Goddeeris, and Timothy and Cyndi Wenczel; her grandchildren Colton and Thomas Goddeeris, and Owen and Kenzie Wenczel; her sister, Nancy Spodaryk; three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Susan Bachus, Charlie Bachus, Judith McGuinn, Spencer Holcombe and Susan Johnson; along with several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Cheri will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 9 AM to 11 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 AM at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory can be made to Unite for Her by visiting www.uniteforher.org
