William Lenox Mather Mount, age 84, son of the late John E. Mount and Doris Totten Mather Mount, died Sunday September 13 while in the care of St. Mary’s Medical Center in Langhorne, Pa. “Will” is survived by his wife of 53 years Ann A. Mount; his younger brother John E. Mount and his wife Lyn of Yardley, Pa; his sister-in-law Joan Reynolds of Anoka, MN; cousins Arleen Pierson of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Frederick Mount of Fletcher, NC; and DeWitt Cook of Cherry Hill, NJ. Born and raised in Trenton Will served with the NJ Air National Guard for 8 years. Will was a journeyman tool and die maker and was employed by Western Electric Research Center, Princeton as a Mechanical Technician/Model Maker from 1961-1966, as a Senior Mechanical Engineering Technician at RCA Corp., Dayton, NJ from 1966-1972, as a Technical Engineer at Optel Corp,, Princeton from 1972-1976, as a Product Engineer for Sieman’s Corp., Iselin, NJ from 1976-1979, and as a Supervisor of Engineering Services at Hayward Manufacturing Co. Inc., in Elizabeth, NJ from 1979-1980. In 1980 Will and his wife Ann moved to Hawley, PA to become the owners of Church Street Hardware for the next 25 years. Upon retiring Will and Ann moved to Yardley, Pa. and later on purchased a winter home in Port Charlotte, FL. William will be remembered for his wit and love of non-fiction. He was always curious and was a devoted husband, brother and friend. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 10 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 with the Rev. Wendy Bellis, Pastor of the Morrisville United Methodist Church officiating. Private family burial services will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Trenton, NJ Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 4 to 6 PM at the funeral home. Masks will be required along with social distancing and building capacity limits will be enforced. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Will’s name can be made to the Mercer Wildlife Center, 1748 River Road, Lambertville, NJ 08530 www.wildlifecenterfriends.org.
