Obituary of Helen E. Modzelewski

Helen E. Modzelewski, 88, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday September 4, 2020. Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a lifelong area resident. Helen retired after 42 years of service from the State of New Jersey, where she was an administrative assistant. She was a former parishioner of St. Hedwig Church and currently a parishioner at The Church of St. Ann, she was also a member of AARP, and the Lawrence Senior Citizen’s Club. Daughter of the late Peter and Sophia Modzelewski; she is survived by her special companion of 20 years, Fernando Navarrato, Sr. along with other family and many close friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Helen on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 11 AM at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will follow in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Ewing. There will be no visitation prior to mass. Face masks and social distancing is required to attend.
