Phyllis Lynn Kownacki, 68, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Fort Bragg, NC, she was a former resident of Trenton and Ewing, before moving to Lawrenceville. Phyllis was a Claims Examiner for the State of NJ Department of Labor and Industry, having retired after many years of service. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, watching as many games as possible.
Predeceased by her father Anthony J. Colavita; she is survived by her husband James Kownacki, her son and daughter-in-law Robert and Patti Reali; her grandchildren Bryan, Teresa and Jaiden Mickus; her mother Marilyn Sorter; her step-mother Donna Colavita; her siblings Don and Vicki Heater, Anthony and Fran Colavita, Joey and Nina Colavita, Mark and Becky Colavita, Pam Carpenter, Cindy Caserta and Dawn and Dave Pinterich; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; two step daughters Tracie Mickus and Jamie Kownacki
Due to the recent Coronavirus pandemic, services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Orchard Park, NY 14127. This foundation was established in 1997 by Pro Football Hall of Famer and former Buffalo Bills Quarterback Jim Kelly and his wife Jill, after their infant son Hunter was diagnosed with Krabble Leukodystrophy, an inherited fatal nervous system disease.
