Frank J. Stilwell, 70, of Hamilton died peacefully on Sunday July 3, 2022 at Capital Health Medical Center at Hopewell. Born in Trenton Frank was an area resident his entire life. He was a graduate of Trenton State College and received his master’s degree in sociology. He was employed as the Resident Coordinator and Assistant Manager of the Escher Street SRO Project for 24 years interacting with over 3000 formerly homeless individuals and in fact was a part of many of those lives. Known as the “Heartbeat” of the SRO Project Frank was dedicated to the very end, retirement was not an option in his mind. In his spare time he immensely enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid supporter of caring for animals. He was a volunteer for many years at the Mercer County Wildlife Center. Son of the late William and Mary Albanese; he is survived by his step-mother Joyce Stilwell; many cousins, numerous good friends including Dale Powell and Robert Cordero Funeral services for Frank will be held on Wednesday July 13, 2022 at 11 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hamilton. Visitation for relatives and friends will be from 10 to 11 AM on Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
