Emily M. Karwoski, 95, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at her daughter's home. Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a longtime resident of Lawrenceville. Emily is a retiree of the City of Trenton, where she was secretary to Governor Richard J. Hughes and eventual Senate President Sido Ridolfi. In time she became the city’s first female Purchasing Agent and was honored as employee of the year for City Hall. She was a parishioner at The Church of St. Ann for over 50 years. She loved gardening, embroidery, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved and adored. She took great pride in attending the sporting events and activities in which they were involved. Emily was preceded in death by her parents Karol and Lillian Lechowicz, daughter Christine Karwoski, husband Peter S. Karwoski and sister Florence Lechowicz. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Donald Busch, grandchildren Jennifer Goubeaud (Paul), Michael Busch (Justine), Allison Horvath (Christopher), Gregory Busch (Thomasina), Colleen Rosenberger (Jeffrey) and 12 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today, Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 11AM at The Church of St. Ann 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Interment will be held at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ. The viewing for Emily will be held today, Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 9:30-10:30AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
