No one knows when the last visit, the last phone call, the last hug etc. will be. My visits, long chats and hugs with “the Queen” (Alias Aunt Theresa) will truly be missed. I would get a text from Joanne each summer letting me know when the “Queen” would be on the island. I would immediately set up a “seating with the Queen”. Our chats, on the infamous Ciosek/Carroll porch, which could last hours, were a catch up on family, books, everyday stuff, health & questions regarding our family history. I would hear of her life, her grandchildren & great grandchildren & how special she felt with all the elaborate celebrations Joanne orchestrated for her. She would relate every detail with the biggest of smiles. The “Queen” has left & I am so very grateful to have been honored with my many “seatings with the Queen” & memories to last a lifetime. The “Queen” will truly be missed.

My sister Theresa was the only person in a household of 12 people to get the deli book to get any food and she always got a tastycake and we nicknamed her the tastycake kid. Well that kid lived for 96 years.God bless your baby brother Joe
