Biography

Helen I. Johnson, 88, of Hamilton, died Thursday at Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton.

Born in Trenton, she was a Hamilton Township resident most of her life.

Helen retired from the Superior Court of New Jersey after twenty years of service.

Daughter of the late John and Susan Sabol Myers, mother of the late Daniel J. Johnson, and wife of the late Charles L. Johnson, she is survived by two daughters Cheri Wenczel and her husband Thomas and Nancy Spodaryk, and a daughter-in-law Susan Johnson. Also surviving are six grandchildren Erica and Tim Wenczel, Mark and Tyler Johnson, and Joey and John Spodaryk, one great grandchild Owen T. Wenczel, a sister Eileen Slavkovsky and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral will be held on Monday at 10 AM from Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM at The Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hamilton.

Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4 to 6 PM at the funeral home.
